Types of Bets – Double Zero Roulette. All roulette online, free games or any American roulette game offers you a handful of wagering options that you can use through your gambling career. Before each round on the American roulette table, the players can choose: inside bets and outside bets, where each category consists of several wagering options. Each double street is numbered so to avoid confusion: 1 - 6 is 1 7 - 12 is 2 13 -18 is 3 19 - 24 is 4 25 - 30 is 5 31 - 36 is 6 So if 23 spins then that is Double street 4 So you bet DS 4 next spin. 35 spins (DS 6) Bet DS 6 + 4 12 spins (DS 2) Bet DS 6 + 4 + 2 24 Win Hope this makes sense. Roulette is one of the most popular games you’ll find at any land-based casino. This popularity has moved across to online casino sites, where innovative variations including ‘Double Spin Bonus Roulette’ can be found.
As well as the standard play, there is an added yellow bonus slot, which is larger than all of the others. When the ball hits the bonus slot, the big action starts – with plenty of big win potential for the bonus spin.
This game can now be played online in New Jersey, where legal casinos are available via apps or your PC’s web browser. Sign up to a site and as long as you are within the state lines, whether a resident or not, you’ll be able to give Double Bonus Spin Roulette a try.
This page starts by detailing exactly how Double Bonus Spin Roulette works. First, the differences between this game and the standard wheels is detailed. The bets, odds and the house edge are then covered.

How Double Bonus Spin Roulette works
Double Bonus Spin Roulette is based on the American version of the game. On the wheel are the standard 1-36 numbers, as well as a pair of green zeros (numbered 0 and 00). The big difference on the wheel is the presence of the larger bonus slot. This slot is one and a half times bigger than the other 38 and is colored in yellow.
To avoid any doubt that this is the bonus slot, there is a large B where the number should be.
You’ll play this game as you would any other game of roulette, although you do have the added option of betting on the bonus slot. However, any time the ball lands in that bonus slot, the game transforms.
The major part of the wheel mechanically disappears and is replaced by a new wheel, where you have two concentric reels. The wheel will spin, but on stopping, the outer reel of numbers will continue spinning for a few seconds, eventually stopping on a new number.
You’ll now have two winning numbers on this bonus spin. This bonus spin is effectively a free spin, as your bets in the activating spin will stand. If you bet on the bonus slot in the original spin, there are some incredible prizes to be won if the bonus slot is hit again.
If you bet the bonus and land one bonus slot on the bonus spin, you’ll get paid at odds of 120:1. If you bet the bonus and land both of the bonus slots on the bonus spin, the payout increases to an incredible 1,200:1.
You can also bet splits and corners with the bonus and the zeros, each of which have enhanced pay outs in bonus spin.
Double Bonus Spin Roulette bets and odds
Here is a rundown of the most popular bets placed at Double Bonus Spin Roulette:
- Bonus: If you bet on the bonus slot and win, you’ll be paid at odds of 12:1. Of course, if this wins, you’ve got the added extra of the bonus spin.
- Red/Black: Pick the right color and you’ll win at odds of 1:1 – a double your money bet. Other similar bets with the same pay outs are odd/even and high/low bets.
- Straight Bets: You can bet on any number individually and if it hits, you’ll be paid out at impressive odds of 35:1.
- Split Bets: Place a chip between two numbers and if either comes in, you’ll win at odds of 17:1. Similarly, a corner bet sees you place a chip in the intersection of 4 numbers and pays at odds of 8:1.
- Dozens: Bet on whether the ball will land on 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36 at odds of 2:1. Columns wagers have the same pay outs, where you’ll be on 3, 6, 9, 12, 15… etc.
When you take the payouts and the bonus spins into consideration, this version of the game offers a house edge of just 1.94%.
When you compare this to standard American roulette, you are receiving a much better deal, as the edge is 5.26%. This game even compares favorably to European roulette where the edge is 2.7%.
It’s only French roulette, where the edge can be as low as 1.35%, that offers a lower edge. Keep in mind that French roulette only has those odds on even money wagers.
Playing the online game is straightforward. You simply click on a chip denomination and then click again to place the chip on a betting area. You’re then ready to hit spin.
The software allows you to pre-save six different betting patterns – a handy option if you have set ways you like to bet.
The game also has an auto-spin option that allows you to sit back and enjoy the game as it spins 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 times.
Roulette strategy
There is a lot of talk about roulette strategy, and some will claim that the game can be beaten. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, as any game with a house edge ensures the casino will win in the long run.
However, ensuring you’re playing a game with a low house edge will make it more likely that you can be successful. The low edge of 1.94% at this game fits that bill. So while this game might not be for the roulette ‘purists’, if you want a game that gives you the best chance of success, this IGT design makes for a good choice.
Final thoughts
If you’re the type of player who likes a little added excitement in your gaming, Double Bonus Spin Roulette might be ideal. For most of the time it plays exactly like standard roulette, but when the ball hits the bonus slot, the game is given a whole new dimension.
Double Bet Roulette Strategy
Suddenly, you’ve got double the chance of winning. If you’ve bet the bonus slot, suddenly the winning odds go through the roof.

Introduction
Roulette Bets And Payouts
One question I get sometimes is whether there is some pattern to the number sequence in roulette. There is no simple rule of thumb that would help one memorize the order. Both major types of wheels, single- and double-zero, try to have a good balance of high & low and odd & even numbers in any given sector of the wheel. However, beyond that, there is no consistent pattern that I can find. Nobody seems to know who developed the number order of why, so this is one of the unsolved mysteries of gambling.
Single-Zero Wheel
The number order on the single-zero wheel is 0-32-15-19-4-21-2-25-17-34-6-27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10-5-24-16-33-1-20-14-31-9-22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26.
Other than having a good balance of high/low and odd/even numbers in any given sector, I can find no easy memorize device to explain the entire order.
Double-Zero Wheel
The number order on the single-zero wheel is 0-28-9-26-30-11-7-20-32-17-5-22-34-15-3-24-36-13-1-00-27-10-25-29-12-8-19-31-18-6-21-33-16-4-23-35-14-2. Unlike the single-zero wheel, several rules will help you put together the entire sequence. Here it is.
- Start by putting the 00 in the 12:00 position and the 0 in the 6:00 position on the wheel.
- Place the 1 to the left of the 00. Then, every four spaces, going counter-clockwise, put the next odd number, until you get to 9.
- Place the 13 to the left of the 1. Then every four spaces, going counter-clockwise, put the next odd number, until you get to 17.
- Place the 11 next to the 7, going counter-clockwise. This will take care of the odd low numbers. Note they are all on the left side of the wheel.
- Place the 19 seven spaces from the 00, going clockwise. Then, going clockwise, put the next two odds every four spaces, until you get to 23.
- Place the 25 three positions from the 00, going clockwise.
- Place the 27 one position from the 00, going clockwise. Then, going clockwise, put the next four odds every four spaces, until you get to 35.
- Directly across the wheel from every odd number, place the number one greater. For example, place the 2 directly across from the 1.
Triple-Zero Wheel
The number sequence for the triple zero wheel (boo!) is the same as the single-zero wheel, except the 000 and 00 directly follow the 0, going clockwise.
In other words, the sequence is 0-000-00-32-15-19-4-21-2-25-17-34-6-27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10-5-24-16-33-1-20-14-31-9-22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26.
